This past weekend I was home relaxing and spending Mother's Day with my wonderful Mom. As much as I love the city, having a country escape is super important to me. Is it hard to believe that my house/farm is only 45 minutes outside of Manhattan?! I'm lucky that my escape is free, involves hanging out with some amazing animals, and of course spending time with my family.
Pants: Zara / Top: JCrew / Scarf: Zara (another great piece here) / Shoes: Jessica Simpson (old) / Sunglasses: Rayban / Watch & Bracelet: Micheal Kors
The animals that you're seeing in these pictures are alpacas (no, not llamas!). A few years ago my family decided to turn our horse farm into an alpaca farm. The animals are raised for their fleece which is super soft, hypo-allergenic, and luxurious. It's hard to tell in these pictures since they just got their annual haircut! I love any excuse to snap some pictures with these awesome animals, and this weekend was no exception. And of course, an animal photo shoot isn't complete without a pic with my adorable pup, Zoe.
Hope everyone had a great weekend and a happy Mother's Day!
LOVE your neon pants and that gorgeous floral scarf! The farm looks amazing, definitely a great place to escape to :)

Oh my! I'm Peruvian, so I know all about how soft and beautiful these guys are. The last time I saw one of these in person was during a trip to Machu Pichu, so it's so cool that you have an entire farm of them :-) Your little pup is so cute too! I really love your outfit. Funny how a scarf can change up an entire look!

sometimes, alpacas make some guest appearances at my local farmer's market.... they are such gentle and sweet creatures! you are so lucky to be able to escape to a safe haven like this, away from the hustle and bustle of manhattan.

OMG as soon as I saw the first alpaca, my heart started racing. I am seriously so obsessed with alpacas, and have tried to convince my husband that we should have one as a pet. (I do however know they are not meant to be pets LOL). But, I am so jealous that you have an alpaca farm. Anytime you want me to visit, I'm totally free!! :)

Love those Zara pants -- you have convinced me that blondes can wear yellow. I've been hesitant about doing yellow but loving all the yellow skirts, shorts and pants floating around this spring. Loving your style! Now following.
ReplyDeleteAlso, TOTALLY jealous that you get to hang out with alpacas! That's awesome.
